A 31-year-old Lawrence man reported to the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday that someone stole an air-conditioning unit from the outside of a vacant house on Stillwell Road just north of U.S. Highway 24-40. The suspects cut wires and piping after the electric meter was pulled on the outside of the house. A window was also damaged on the house, which is for sale. Estimated damage is listed as $4,200.
