Lawrence police arrested two men following an overnight disagreement in the 1400 block of Ohio Street, a police spokeswoman said.

Two friends were waiting outside The Hawk for a ride home around 1:45 a.m. Thursday when two men in a Honda driving down Ohio stopped and approached them in an aggressive manner while holding tools, said Kim Murphree, the spokeswoman.

One of the victims reported one of the suspects and one of the victims shoved each other, but no other physical contact was reported, Murphree said.

Police arrested two Lawrence men, Jeffery B. Christian Jr., 24, and Charles C. Harrison, 23.

Harrison was charged on Thursday in Douglas County District Court with two counts of aggravated assault with a crowbar, and Christian was charged with two counts of assault.
