Lawrence bowlers take third in Topeka

Topeka — The Lawrence High boys bowling team took third place at the Washburn Rural quad on Tuesday at West Ridge Lanes.

Junior Austin Bennett led the way for the Lions, scoring a three-game total of 587. Senior Pace Leggins was seven points behind, at 580.

The LHS girls varsity team finished fourth at the four-team event. Sophomore Kierstan Warren scored a team-high 597 for the Lions.
