Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical crews are investigating multiple grass fires in the area of Tenth and Connecticut streets Wednesday night as a possible arson.

Division chief Joe Hoelscher said the fires caused “minimal” damage and were put out shortly after crews arrived, at about 7:45 p.m. Investigators were continuing to look into possible causes as of 10 p.m.
