Prosecutors charged a 26-year-old Junction City man, Cory Mack Preston, with aggravated assault after he was accused early Sunday morning of brandishing a handgun during a dispute at the Jayhawk Motel, 1004 N. Third St. A judge set his bond at $6,000. Preston is an Army specialist stationed at Fort Riley, according to the 1st Infantry Division’s Public Affairs Office.
