Perry woman injured in one-vehicle accident on K-10 west of Eudora

A 32-year-old Perry woman was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Monday morning after she was injured in an accident on a snowy Kansas Highway 10.

Sgt. Steve Lewis, a Douglas County Sheriff’s spokesman, said Angela M. Herman spun out in her westbound 2003 Ford Expedition at 6:15 a.m. and crashed into a bridge pillar at East 2100 Road on the west side of Eudora.

Lewis said officers indicated Herman was not wearing a seat belt. Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, he said.

Officers throughout Douglas County also assisted several motorists who had slid off roads or highways in Monday morning’s snow, Lewis said.
