Douglas County prosecutors Thursday charged a 23-year-old Lawrence man with eluding police while driving recklessly during an incident reported Wednesday afternoon.

Justin W. Kraai is accused of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, obstruction, misdemeanor failing to report an accident involving unattended property, driving on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and two traffic infractions.

According to Lawrence police records, he attempted to elude an officer at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the 2200 block of Vermont Street. He was later arrested in the 1800 block of Maple Drive.

A judge set his bond Thursday afternoon at $15,000. He was also arrested on a Sedgwick County warrant, according to jail records.
