A 19-year-old Kansas University student reported to KU police someone used a key to damage his vehicle and also poured an unknown substance in the gas tank as the vehicle was parked outside of Hashinger Hall, 1632 Engel Road, said Maj. Chris Keary, an assistant KU police chief. It caused an estimated $4,400 damage to the vehicle, and it occurred some time between 3 p.m. April 10 and 5 p.m. April 11.
