A 29-year-old Topeka man was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after he was injured in a rollover accident Monday afternoon on U.S. Highway 40 about 9 miles west of Lawrence, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The accident report said Daniel Gregory Joshua Whedon, 29, was driving a 1996 Oldsmobile car west on the highway at 12:30 p.m. The vehicle left the highway onto the north shoulder, and Wheldon overcorrected and steered it back across the highway into the south ditch before it went down an embankment and flipped. The car came to rest in a pasture on its wheels.

Wheldon was wearing his seat belt, and Belinda Rehmer, an LMH spokeswoman, said Tuesday he was treated and released.

Just to let you know his name is Daniel Gregory Joshua Whedon, not Wheldon. I know because he is my grandson and he had just left my house after trimming trees for me.

I really would appreciate if you fixed my last name.
