One man was hospitalized after a rollover accident on U.S. Highway 40 on Monday afternoon. A single car left the roadway, about nine miles west of Lawrence, from the north shoulder, over corrected and then flipped into the south ditch. The car landed on its wheels, but facing the opposite direction, according to Kansas Highway Patrol reports. The driver, a 29-year-old Topeka man, was treated and released at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
