A sixth-grade boy was hit by a vehicle Thursday morning in front of Liberty Memorial Central Middle School, according to the Lawrence school district. The boy was struck shortly after being dropped off at school by a parent, and police and an ambulance came to the school to assess the situation. The boy was bruised but not seriously injured.
