A 61-year-old Lawrence man reported to police Friday the burglary and theft of cash and checks from Heartland Fire and Safety Equipment, 1400 E. 24th St. According to a police report, the incident occurred between 6 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The total estimated loss from the incident was $1,893.
