Lawrence police are investigating a Friday incident in which a 53-year-old Lawrence man alleged his neighbor threatened him, pulled out a handgun from his pocket and showed it to him during an argument in the 1300 block of Kentucky Street.

Sgt. Matt Sarna, a police spokesman, said the man said his neighbor never pointed the gun at him but he felt threatened. The suspect, a 56-year-old Lawrence man, was not there when officers arrived at 6 p.m. Friday, but he was later located. No one was injured.

Sarna said the victim later became uncooperative with officers, and the investigation continues.
