A 50-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Wednesday night after making threats with a knife.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Randy Roberts, the incident occurred in the 800 block of Ohio Street about 7 p.m. The suspect was engaged in a verbal altercation with another individual and made threats with a knife.

The suspect left the area and was later located in the 800 block of Louisiana Street.

Roberts said that no contact was made between the two during the altercation and that no one was injured.

The suspect was booked into the Douglas County Jail on charges of aggravated assault and possession of drug paraphrenalia.
