Kansas University engineering students working in Bolivia

Eight Kansas University engineering students are spending their summer working on water and sewer projects in the South American nation of Bolivia.

The students, along with a professor and mentor, are participating in program with the university’s Engineers Without Borders chapter.

This year’s projects include building water and sewer facilities in the remote Andes Mountains village of Azacilo, about four hours from the capital of La Paz. It’s the fourth time the Kansas chapter has worked on projects in the Bolivian village.

Engineers Without Borders pairs engineering students from across the United States with communities in developing countries.
