A 32-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Saturday morning for attempting to set fire to a trailer in the 800 block of Walnut Street.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Troy Squire, officers responded to the incident about 7 a.m. When they arrived on scene, police observed two men and one woman trying to light the trailer. The three began walking away from the scene and the suspect fled from officers.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical’s arson investigators also responded to the scene, but no additional information regarding the incident was immediately available.

No injuries were reported in the incident. The suspect was booked into the Douglas County Jail on charges of aggravated arson. Bond was set at $25,000.
