The person who fell from a third-story balcony Sunday night at Parkway Commons Apartments, 3601 Clinton Parkway, was in serious condition upon being flown to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., Division Chief Eve Tolefree, of Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical, said Monday. Fire officials said the fall occurred at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, and Lawrence police said investigators were treating the incident as an accident with no criminal activity involved.
