A man was transported via air ambulance to the Kansas University Hospital after falling from a third-story balcony of an apartment complex in the 3600 block of Clinton Parkway in Lawrence at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, according to Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical Division Chief Lyle Schwartz. Schwartz said the man was in serious condition.

Lawrence Police Department Sgt. Trent McKinley said police are treating the incident as an accident with no criminal activity involved.
