Winter X Games: Extreme sports in the extremely cold weather

Viewers who like to watch their cold-weather sports from the vantage point of a heated TV room are in luck. Winter X Games (8 p.m., ESPN) return with more than 24 hours of action on the white stuff presented in high definition on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN3.com.

Tonight’s action includes Snowboard Superpipe Men’s elimination and Skiing Slopestyle Women’s Final and Skiing Superpipe Women’s Final. I have no idea what I’m writing about.

For fans who just can’t wait for prime time, Skiing Slopestyle Men’s Elimination kicks off at 11 a.m. on ESPN2.
