Overland Park ? Five Lawrence High wrestlers advanced to the semifinals of the Blue Valley Northwest tournament, and the Lions sat in third place after the first day Friday.

Garrett Girard (103 pounds), Hunter Haralson (119), Andrew Denning (145), Cameron Magdaleno (160) and Reece Wright-Conklin went undefeated Friday.

Hutchinson leads the team race with 871/2 points and is followed by Newton (63 1/2) and Lawrence (62).
