Basketball recruit Angelo Chol to pick between KU, UNC and Arizona Thursday

Angelo Chol, a 6-foot-8 senior forward from San Diego’s Hoover High, will announce his college choice at 2:45 p.m., Central time, Thursday at his high school.

Chol, who is Rivals.com’s No. 76-rated player is down to Kansas University, Arizona and North Carolina, the Arizona Daily Star reported on Tuesday night. He eliminated Washington and Alabama on Tuesday, the paper reported.

Chol, who is within 39 points of 2,000 career points, has led Hoover to a 21-6 record so far this season. Analysts had believed Washington and Arizona were the leaders, yet UW is now out.
