Lawrence police detectives have arrested two Wichita men who are suspects in a December robbery of three Kansas University students at a Louisiana Street apartment.
According to jail records, the two suspects — 21-year-old Jerome DeShaun Tucker and 20-year-old Dandre Will Williams — were arrested on warrants in Wichita and taken to the Douglas County Jail Friday evening.
Douglas County prosecutors issued the warrants charging the defendants with aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery in the Dec. 2 incident in the 1100 block of Louisiana Street, according to jail records.
At the time, police said three women were in their third-floor apartment about 12:30 a.m. when they heard a knock at the door and two men entered the apartment. One had a gun, and the suspects made the women go into one room while another suspect search the apartment.
A television and cell phone were reported stolen, and no one was injured.
Cheryl Wright, a spokeswoman for the Douglas County district attorney’s office, said Tucker and Williams are expected to appear before a judge Monday afternoon.
