A 36-year-old Valley Falls man is being treated for frostbite and a dog bite after involving law enforcement officials in a foot chase that lasted more than three hours.

According to a media release from the Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig, Valley Falls officers attempted to serve the suspect with a county warrant just before 4 p.m. Thursday. The suspect, who lived in the 200 block of Walnut Street, fled from the area on foot, heading northbound and crossing the Delaware River.
