Basketball season has finally arrived for Lawrence High.

Both the boys and girls open the 2011-12 season tonight, though not at the same venue.

At 7 p.m., the Lions’ boys will play host to Junction City. Meanwhile, at the same time, in Kansas City, Kan., the LHS girls will play at K.C.-Wyandotte.

Lawrence’s boys went 8-14 last season. The LHS girls were 6-15.
