Even in a down economy, students graduating from Kansas University are in luck when it comes to finding jobs.
With many of the university’s schools boasting career centers to aid their students, soon-to-be graduates are presented with plenty of post-education opportunities.
Megan Hill, associate director of career networks for the University Career Center, said a number of large employer organizations have worked through the center, employing a significant number of KU graduates during the past three years. Among those hiring for internships and full-time opportunities have been Target, Liberty Mutual and Cerner.
The career centers located on campus are in place to aid students during the job hunting process. They offer services such as help with resume writing and cover letter crafting. Most also help students prepare for interviews or network with potential employers through career fairs.
During a time when landing a job can seem a bit rocky, career centers throughout KU have continued to help students prepare for the road.
