Salina teen charged with raping girl in school restroom
Salina ? A Salina teenager is accused of raping a female student in a restroom at Salina South High School.
The 16-year-old has been booked into the juvenile detention center on charges of rape, attempted aggravated sodomy and unlawful restraint.
Police Capt. Mike Sweeney told The Salina Journal the boy is accused of forcing the female student into a men’s restroom April 5 and trying to force her to perform a sex act. The girl –whose age has not been released — successfully resisted.
Police say the boy allegedly forced the same student into the restroom after school on April 13 and raped her.
The girl reported the second incident to a school official, who notified the police officer assigned to Salina South.
