Emergency crews responded early Wednesday morning to reports of a structure fire at a duplex in the 1400 block of West Second Street.

The fire was reported to Douglas County emergency dispatchers about 2 a.m. The caller advised the fire seemed to be on the exterior of the residence. Burning debris was also reported to be found near the building.

When crews arrived on scene the small fire was reportedly out, but there was light smoke throughout most of the building. Emergency crews opened the residence to help ventilate the building.

Crews on scene searched the building and gave the all clear about 2:30 a.m.

All the residents reportedly made it out all right and no serious injuries were reported.
