Coca-Cola Happiness Machine

A Coca-Cola vending machine is transformed into a happiness machine delivering "doses" of happiness.

The Coca-Cola Happiness Machine made an appearance at the Kansas Union Monday.

For one dollar, buyers got (at least) one 20 oz. drink plus a special prize or two. The machine was spitting out gifts including Halloween candy, a football autographed by Turner Gill, KU shirts and a 6-foot long tray of cookies from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"...gifts including... a football autographed by Turner Gill"

Can I just have the bottle of Coke? I think it's worth more.

Funny you should mention that, because somebody actually did get football tickets out of it.

Wow, is that all it takes for the J-W to run a corporate as if it were a story? Pretty damn sick.

Just disgusting! How dare they run a story that brought a smile to my face?

Not unlike the smile that an ice-cold, refreshing Coke brings.

DRINK COKE!

Diabetes is happiness. Now that's effective marketing.

I don't like coke. When I was a freshman, we had every kind of machine on campus and at the end of that year, they made that deal with coke. I was devastated. At least I didn't live in the dorms sophomore year. I had more choices. BUT, I might put a dollar in for prizes if I was in the union. I am a sucker for prizes.
