LeBryan Nash, a 6-foot-7, 230-pound senior forward from Dallas’ Lincoln High, orally committed to Oklahoma State on Thursday afternoon on ESPNU.

He chose the Cowboys over Kansas University and Baylor. Nash’s half-brother, Byron Eaton, attended OSU.

“I chose Oklahoma State because it’s best for me and my family,” Nash said on ESPNU. “Kansas was a great place to go, and Baylor also. I thought Oklahoma State would be best for me, though.”

Rivals.com’s No. 4-rated player averaged 17.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game last year. He visited KU for the recent Late Night in the Phog.

Nash opened the ESPNU segment with caps of the three schools as props. He didn’t put any of those on his head — instead a huge, orange OSU Cowboy hat in announcing his choice.

“He (Eaton) played a good role. He told me Travis Ford is the coach for me,” Nash said. “He was there four years. I listen to what he says because he’s my big brother. I fit in the system. I love it there.”
