Man arrested after driving car into residence

A 50-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Saturday evening after backing his truck into a residence.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Dave Hubbel, the suspect was involved in a domestic altercation when he purposely backed the vehicle into the building in the 900 block of Connecticut Street. He then left the scene.

No one was injured during the incident and damage to the house was estimated between $4,000 and $5,000.

The suspect was arrested on charges of criminal damage to property and booked into the Douglas County Jail about 8:17 p.m.
