— A 67-year-old taxi driver is dead after a woman drove her car the wrong way on Interstate 35 and crashed head-on into him.

Investigators say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which happened at 1:15 a.m. Sunday south of Seventh Street in Kansas City, Kan.

The Kansas Highway Patrol identifies the victim as Muhudin Sheikh Nur of Kansas City.

The Kansas City Star reports the driver, 37-year-old Olathe woman, was being treated for critical injuries at the University of Kansas Hospital.

Why is it that the driver who causes the terrible accident always lives?
