Wednesday’s LHS baseball game postponed

The Lawrence High baseball team’s opening-round regional tournament game against Olathe Northwest in Manhattan, originally scheduled for 2 p.m. today, has been postponed until 2 p.m. Friday due to weather concerns.

The Lions (10-10) are seeded fourth in the regional tournament. Olathe Northwest (9-10) is seeded fifth. The winner of that game will take on the winner of a matchup between top-seeded Manhattan and eighth-seeded Junction City for a berth in the Class 6A state tournament.

Standout pitcher and Wichita State signee Albert Minnis is expected to start Friday for the Lions.
