BVN baseball edges Lawrence

? Lawrence High’s rally in the seventh inning fell one run short in a 5-4 loss to Blue Valley North on Saturday in high school baseball.

“We had a couple errors early in the game that cost us a run, then we settled down and played pretty well,” LHS coach Brad Stoll said. “Ben Wyatt came out of the bullpen and shut Blue Valley North down.”

The Lions scored once in the seventh to cut their deficit to 5-4 and placed runners on second and third, but couldn’t get the game tied.

LHS (10-8) will entertain Free State on Monday.
