The on-the-field era of Turner Gill’s time at Kansas University officially will begin Saturday, when Gill and his new football team hit the turf for the first of 15 Spring practices.

Gill’s first day of spring drills will run from 1 to 3:15 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Stadium. From that point on, the Jayhawks will practice three or four times a week for the next four weeks leading up to the annual spring game at 1 p.m. on April 24.

All Saturday practices will begin at 1 p.m. and end at approximately 3:15 p.m. All weekday practices will run from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m.

None of the practices are open to the public, however, the Spring Game is open to the public and will be free of charge.
