Jayhawks fall one spot to No. 2 in both polls this week
KU still grabs six first-place votes
After falling in Stillwater to Oklahoma State, the Kansas Jayhawks found themselves falling to second place in the AP Top 25 poll out Monday morning.
The Kentucky Wildcats, who had been No. 2, lost at Tennessee and fell to No. 3. The Syracuse Orange are the new top team, picking up 59 of 65 first place votes.
The Kansas Jayhawks picked up the other six.
There are four Big 12 teams ranked in the top 25, though seven conference teams received at least one vote.
In the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ poll, the Jayhawks were also ranked No. 2 behind Syracuse. They picked up seven of 31 first place votes.
Five Big 12 teams were ranked in the coaches poll, and six Big 12 teams received at least one vote.
