500 block of Highway 40
A LifeStar helicopter was called to the scene of an injury accident south of Lecompton on Monday afternoon.
According to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, two Bonner Springs residents were riding their motorcycle eastbound on Highway 40 when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned.
Gary Titsworth, 63, and Ruth Titsworth, 62, were taken to Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka about 2:30 p.m. Monday. A Stormont-Vail representative Monday evening said she could not release information regarding the victims' conditions.
Both riders were reported to have been wearing helmets.

My bets on 1) somebody pulled out in front of 'em or 2) somebody passing cut them off. Any takers?

Actually none of the above happened! And I know this because I was there. So people need to stop making accusations on what happened.

I don't see anyone making "accusations" on what happened. Just a couple of people speculating on possibilities, since there is so little information to go on.
You don't have to like it, but don't think your comments will have any effect because it is human nature to try to fill in the blanks. In this case, people have been very civil about it, so I really don't see what your problem is.

And 40 Highway doesn't run north and south. It is an east and west road, so the correct title should be 'on 40 Highway East of Lecompton', regardless of the accual compass reading back to Lecompton.

Well actually it is SOUTH of Lecompton...yeah 40 hwy runs east and west...but if you drive south of Lecompton you will drive right to 40 hwy!!

If that was the case all the accidents on I-70 would be north of Lawrence which tells you nothing about their location.
