A LifeStar helicopter was called to the scene of an injury accident south of Lecompton on Monday afternoon.

According to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, two Bonner Springs residents were riding their motorcycle eastbound on Highway 40 when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned.

Gary Titsworth, 63, and Ruth Titsworth, 62, were taken to Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka about 2:30 p.m. Monday. A Stormont-Vail representative Monday evening said she could not release information regarding the victims’ conditions.

Both riders were reported to have been wearing helmets.
