A Lawrence man accused of pointing a shotgun at two people, then driving a truck into a utility pole reached a plea agreement Thursday.

Isaiah Maldonado was originally charged with aggravated assault in connection with the January incident near 23rd and Iowa streets.

Prosecutors dropped the aggravated assault charges in exchange for Maldonado entering a plea to charges of making a criminal threat and driving under the influence.

Maldonado is scheduled to be sentenced July 30.
