Police searching for suspect in stabbing

Lawrence police are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed a Salina man early Saturday morning.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Ted Bordman, two men were walking down the Sixth Street alley between Massachusetts and New Hampshire streets about 3 a.m. when they met another man. The two men said the other man confronted them and pulled a knife from his pocket. He stabbed one of the men, a 22-year-old from Salina, giving him a laceration on his right arm.

The two men ran northbound up the alley and went to the hospital. The suspect went in an unknown direction. He is described as a white man about 6 feet tall, 190 pounds with a white shirt and a black cap on backwards.
