Four-year-old Madelynn Spencer died on Thursday afternoon after she was taken off life support at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

The driver of the TrailBlazer, Robert Hutchins, 27, of Valley Falls, was treated and released Wednesday from Stormont-Vail.

This is such a tragedy. Make a rule to not leave your driveway unless everyone is buckled up. Despite her mistake, my heart goes out to this mother. She has lost three of her babies. I cannot even imagine how a person could cope with such a loss. She needs empathy - not indictment right now, no matter how upset this story might make a person.

My heart breaks for the mother and other family of those girls, and for the young man in the other vehicle. May God be with them all.

Wordsofwisdom, I imagine the funds will be used for exactly what you said--medical and funeral costs.
