A 21-year-old Lawrence man was a victim of aggravated battery Sunday in the 800 block of Mississippi Street in the Kwik Shop parking lot.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Michael McLaren, police were dispatched to the location at 2:13 a.m. for a fight that started between women in the parking lot and escalated to include more people. The victim said he was punched in the mouth by an unidentified black man. The victim lost a tooth in the incident.
