Kansas State University football coach Bill Snyder named San Jose State defensive coordinator Keith Burns the team’s defensive-backs coach Wednesday, a job that former Kansas University defensive coordinator Clint Bowen had previously interviewed for.

The Journal-World previously reported that Bowen, who was not retained by new head coach Turner Gill, had interviewed for the position in mid-December.

Actually, if you check the facts you might learn differently. No, Coach Bowen will not coach at KSU (thank goodness). But, in fact Coach Bowen declined the KSU offer. Minor detail but it means something to we Lawrence and KU fans....

why would anyone hire Bowen? Bill Snyder is not stupid.
Bowen never coached a decent defense. Rediculous schemes.. Worthless. He needs to find another line of work.

Well, what you probably dont know Top, but what most football people do know is that defense is not about the X's and the O's......its about the Jimmys and the Joes.

By all accounts, CB would have done well with this at KSU.
