A 20-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Monday afternoon after threatening a woman with a knife. Assistant KU police chief Chris Keary said the man threatened the woman and then grabbed her around the throat.

Police arrested the man on charges of aggravated assault and battery and booked him into the Douglas County Jail about 4:15 p.m. Monday.

The woman was not injured during the incident.
