Two Lions in finals at state wrestling

— Lawrence High’s Hunter Haralson and Reece Wright-Conklin reached championship matches Friday in the Class 6A state wrestling meet.

Haralson will wrestle Wichita Campus’ Dalton Miller for the 112-pound title today, and Wright-Conklin will meet Wichita Heights’ Hunter Jameson for the 160-pound championship.

Haralson and Wright-Conklin each won three matches Friday to reach the finals. Lawrence High stood in sixth place in the team standings.

Haralson loses 5-3 in the finals. :( Good job young man on being a freshman state runner up! We are all very proud of you back in Lawrence. Haralson wiill have a great wrestling career at LHS and will bring more than one state championship back to Lawrence! Keep at it and thank you for your hard work and dedication in this great sport of wrestling!

And your 160 lb 6a Kansas State High School Champion is Reece Wright-Conklin!!!! Congratulations young man! Your accomplishment has brought much pride to the Lawrence community and we thank you for that! Good job! Reece has a shot at becoming the first ever 3t time champ in Lawrence wrestling history. Couldn't have happened to a better kid!

Congratulations to all the coaches for preparing our boys !
