An automobile-pedestrian accident was reported just after 5:15 p.m. Thursday on Sixth Street just west of Lawrence Avenue.

The pedestrian was believed to have relatively minor injuries. A four-door, white Acura was headed westbound just past Lawrence Avenue when it struck the pedestrian, according to witnesses. The vehicle had damage to the right side of its windshield.

Traffic on Sixth Street in the area was held up as numerous emergency crews responded to the scene. Drivers were advised to find an alternate route.
