Lawrence

• The intersection of North Second and Locust streets in North Lawrence remains a construction site. Traffic is limited to one lane heading south; traffic going north is directed onto a detour route that includes Elm, North Third, Locust and Lyon streets. Work is expected to last into March and beyond.

• Construction continues for a new U.S. Highway 59 between Lawrence and Ottawa.

Douglas County

• Douglas County Road 9, or East 1500 Road, is closed until late spring from the Kansas Turnpike to U.S. Highway 24-40.

U.S. Highway 69

• Beginning 9 a.m. Monday, entrance and exit ramps for traffic heading north on U.S. Highway 69 will be closed at the 95th Street interchange in Johnson County for reconstruction and widening work on the northbound side of U.S. 69. At 103rd Street, ramps for traffic heading north will close at 9 a.m. Monday; ramps for traffic heading south will close at 9 a.m. Wednesday. The closures will be expected to last through mid-November.
