More than $7,000 worth of property was damaged or stolen in a burglary reported overnight Friday at Alek’s Auto, 601 N. Second St. in North Lawrence.

According to a police report made Saturday morning, several items were taken including a 2002 black Volkswagen Jetta, which was found later on Saturday. Several other items were taken or damaged in the burglary.
