An 86-year-old Lawrence man reported an aggravated burglary and theft Tuesday in the 4000 block of Parkway Court.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Dave Hubbel, a man doing door-to-door sales asked him for a drink. When the Lawrence man went to the refrigerator to get him a Pepsi, the door-to-door salesman took a recently received income tax refund.
