The Lions improved to 7-6. Lawrence is 7-1 in its Sunflower League games.

“We were flat at the beginning,” LHS coach Brad Stoll said. “We were really flat and didn’t play well the first two, three innings. We responded well in the middle part of the game.”

Albert Minnis went 2-for-4 and smacked a home run and two RBIs.

Lawrence will travel to Olathe Northwest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
