Some youth athletic events this week and next have been moved, postponed or canceled.

Lawrence High School baseball

Due to potentially severe weather moving through the area Friday, the Lawrence High School varsity baseball game scheduled for Friday, April 30, against Shawnee Mission South has been moved to Thursday. The game will be played at 5:00 p.m. at Shawnee Mission South.

On Wednesday, May 5, the LHS junior varsity and C-team baseball games against Olathe Northwest have been moved to the College Blvd. Athletic Center (CBAC). Both teams will play their first game a 4:15 p.m. The varsity team will play at 6 p.m. that evening at LHS baseball stadium to make up its game against Shawnee Mission East, which was postponed last week.

Other cancellations

The junior varsity tennis meet between Southwest Junior High and South Junior High scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, has been canceled. That cancellation, however, is not weather-related.
