KU breaks ground on Edwards Campus site

? Groundbreaking has been held for a $25 million building that will expand Kansas University’s Edwards Campus by more than half.

More than 200 people were on hand Wednesday for the ceremony on the campus in Overland Park.

The 75,000-square-foot building will house business, engineering, science and technology programs with classrooms, lecture halls, computer labs and a conference center.

The building is being financed with a dedicated sales tax approved by Johnson County voters two years ago. Construction is expected to begin soon.
